The next principle of linguistics is Syntax which study the sentence structure, phrase structure and structural ambiguities and sentence relatedness in the language.
Semantics:
It is the branch of linguistics that covers the meaning both. Lexical meaning and abstract meaning. And It studies the meaning thoroughly of sense (what is said) and nonsense (what is not said) throughout it. Semantics covers the ways in which sounds and meanings are correlated and the lexicon or mental glossary of words.
Pragmatics:
It is the subbranch of linguistics that studies how context contribute to it’s meaning. Pragmatics, it has speech act theory, conversational proposition talked in the interaction and other various approaches to language actions in the area like philosophy, sociology and anthropology.
